Act Natural exhibition installed at Picture This, 2009

Synopsis:

Act Natural was exhibited second in a series of three exhibitions of works by different artists as part of the Recorded Live co-commissions.

Kim Coleman & Jenny Hogarth's videos are presented in ways which reflect back upon their subject but also on the tools and actions involved in creating, compiling and editing them.

Kim & Jenny' s multi-screen video installation Act Natural uses light as a medium and a subject and explores simple modifications made to the artists and their environment.

The work was first installed in the eclectic heritage site the Museum of Bath at Work at the AMIE/08 exhibition in association with the Bath Film Festival 2008. Part filmed at the Museum, Act Natural considers how changing light and time frames the routine of a day, week, month or year.
